Applications

Chemetal's metallic laminates are recommended for interior use only, on vertical and light duty horizontal surfaces as a decorative finishing product.

Sheet sizes

Standard sheet sizes: 1220 mm x 2440 mm. Certain designs are also available in oversize sheets 1220 mm x 3050 mm.

Working with Chemetal

Chemetal's metal laminates can be worked using most hand and power woodworking equipment and techniques. For laminates that are solid metals, some adjustments may be required to handling and processing. All blades must be sharp, and the use of carbide-tipped blades and multi-fluted router bits is recommended. Dull cutting equipment creates excessive chipping and burring, and will reduce the quality of the finish.

Bending and forming

Any metal without a phenolic or HPL backer can be bent to wrap around square or rounded corners. Chemetal recommends that the metal be pre-formed to the desired shape prior to lamination.
